Etihad to open airport lounge
02.05.10
Etihad Airways will open a new lounge at Manchester Airport’s Terminal 1 for its premium passengers later this year. It will be only the third Etihad lounge to open outside of its home base of Abu Dhabi, after Heathrow and Frankfurt.
The new 318 square metre airport lounge will offer the airline’s premium customers a range of features, including 5 star international cuisine, a business centre providing individual workstations and privacy for people with laptops, a prayer room, a family room where children will be entertained by nannies, and a relaxation area.
Peter Baumgartner, Etihad Chief Commercial Officer, said: ‘Manchester has always been an important part of our growth plans. We recently announced a capacity increase of close to 60% on the route from June.'
