New airport lounge opened
02.07.10
Manchester Airport has opened a new Escape lounge at Terminal One, which is expected to welcome over 100,000 passengers each year. The new £1.7m facility is divided into separate areas for relaxation and business, with amenities including a choice of food and refreshments, plus self-contained meeting or private function rooms.
Passengers pay a flat fee to use the lounge, which features computer games consoles, Scalextric sets, a restaurant, free wi-fi and a quiet room. Paid spa treatments are also available. The airport already has an Escape lounge in terminal two and could add a third in the near future.
