Flybe sign Etihad codeshare
06.11.09
Etihad Airways customers will be able to fly to a host of new regional airports within the UK, following the signing of a codeshare agreement with regional airline Flybe. The deal will also give travellers from the UK greater and easier access to the Abu Dhabi-based airline's expanding network of over 55 destinations.
Etihad currently flies directly from Abu Dhabi to two airports in the UK - a 3 times daily service to Heathrow and a daily service to Manchester. The codeshare agreement with Flybe will give its customers access to several regional airports in the UK, including Southampton, Birmingham and Belfast.
Under the deal, Etihad will place its 'EY' code on services operated by Flybe between Paris, Frankfurt and Manchester and 35 regional airports within the UK. Flybe will also place its 'BE' code on Etihad's flights between the same 3 destinations and its Abu Dhabi home base.
