Jet2 to double Tel Aviv flights
06.12.09
Jet2 is to double its direct scheduled flights between Manchester and Tel Aviv from March 2010. The move follows an announcement by rival BMI that it will axe competing flights on the route.
Jet2 will increase its flights to twice-weekly from 22 March 2010, departing Mondays and Thursdays. It has also increased the frequency during December 2009 to tie-in with the busy Jewish holiday period of Hanukkah, known as the Festival of Lights.
Since launching the Tel Aviv route in May 2009, over 10,000 passengers have taken the Jet2 service from Manchester Airport. With BMI axing the route, Jet2 becomes the only airline to offer this service from the North of England.
