Training award for airport fire service

Manchester Airport Fire Service has won the International Fire Training Centre's (IFTC) award for the best UK Aerodrome of 2007. The award is given to the airport with the best overall performance of its course trainees.
Chris Formby, head of airfield operations at Manchester Airport said: ‘We are delighted to have received this award. It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of all those who attended courses during the year. They also reflect the support and commitment of the entire fire service team at the airport.’
The overall top student, Firefighter William Coyle, scored 100% on the crew commander course, which helped the team achieve the top score.
