SATA International adds summer Azores flight

Manchester Airport is to gain a link to with the Azores this summer. SATA International will launch flights on the route from May 3, as an extension of a service between Ponta Delgada and Gatwick each Saturday.
The airline operates two Airbus A320 flights between Gatwick and Ponta Delgada in the Azores - each Tuesday and Saturday. The new service will be created by extending the existing Saturday service, which will serve both Manchester and Gatwick.
A spokesman for SATA International said: ‘We are delighted to be bringing the Azores closer to the 28 million people in the Manchester Airport catchment area. The Azores is increasingly popular with the UK travelling public, particularly with golfers.'
