American announce New York flights

American Airlines will launch a new service between Manchester Airport and New York JFK next summer. The flights were announced just a week after Delta said it would axe its flights on the route from January 8 next year.
American’s new non-stop daily summer service will start on May 16 and run until September 30 next year. Delta axed its Manchester - JFK route blaming a drop in demand over the winter. The airport said at the time it hoped the service would return next summer, but no announcement was made by the airline.
