Icelandair add autumn and spring flights
27.07.10
Icelandair will increase its flights between Manchester Airport and Iceland - which connect to its North American services - in the autumn and again in spring 2011. The airline flies from the UK to Iceland with connecting services to Boston, Halifax, Minneapolis, New York, Orlando, Seattle and Toronto. The increased services will run from September 14 to October 26 this year and again April 12 to June 6 next year, adding an extra flight to the current four flights a week schedule.
The increased service will see flights each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday operating as a triangular route’ using the following routing: Reykjavik (KEF) - Manchester (MAN) - Glasgow (GLA) - Reykjavik (KEF). The flights schedule allow passengers to connect onwards to Icelandair's North American destinations. The connection times are short, resulting in elapsed flying times comparable or better than flying via London.
