Jet2 announce new winter sun route
28.05.10
Jet2 is to launch its 30th route from Manchester Airport this winter - to the Egyptian hotspot Hurghada - as its business continues to boom despite the economic and ash problems. The budget airline has seen passenger numbers grow by 27% at Manchester Airport over the last year, and now operates over 200 flights a week.
The airline will carry over one million passengers this year from Manchester, with the new winter sun flights set to take off from October. Philip Meeson, boss at Jet2, said: ‘I'm delighted our customers in the north west will be able to take direct flights to Hurghada and the stunning Red Sea. It is an extremely popular destination with year-round sunshine, dazzling beaches and world-class diving.’
