Manchester Airport Terminal 2
Terminal 2 opened in 1993 and is in the main airport complex nearest to the M56 motorway spur. It serves all long haul scheduled flights except British Airways and El AL plus some charter flights. Airlines operating out of Terminal 2 include Cathay Pacific, Continental, Delta, El Al, Ryanair, US Airways and Virgin Atlantic
Both check-in (on the upper level) and arrivals (on the lower level), have direct links to the short term airport parking. Food and Drink and shopping in the departure lounge before passport control is varied. Those who just want to relax quietly can find peace and comfortable seating on the mezzanine floor.
Departures Landside
ATMs: Link, NatWest and Royal Bank of Scotland near Bureau de Change provide facilities for most cards.
Bank: None
Business Centre: The Atlantic Suite is on the mezzanine floor. Everything from conferences to wedding receptions are catered for.
Currency: At the end of the concourse. ICE Bureau de Change open 05:00-23:00 Mon-Thu; 05:00-24:00 Fri-Sun.
Food and Drink: Meals, snacks and drinks available. Turn left in concourse for main catering area and bar.
Information Desk: None in Departures, go to lower level Arrivals.
Left Luggage: None in Departures, go to lower level Arrivals.
Pay Phones: In catering and shopping areas.
Postal Services: Mail box only. The nearest Post Office is in Terminal 1 International Arrivals.
Prayer Room: There is an interfaith prayer room in the main concourse.
Shopping: There is not a particularly wide range of shops in Terminal 2.
Special needs: The airport provides passengers with special needs with a comprehensive range of services. These include specially adapted telephones for those with hearing difficulties, phones at a convenient height, wheelchairs and ambulifts to help non-walking passengers on to aircraft, special toilets in both terminals Landside and Airside, ramps and lifts between levels and special parking facilities in all car parks.
Smoking Area: Smoking is allowed at Meeting Points and in some seated areas of lounges.
Toilets: at the far end of the check-in area to the left. Like all other areas of the terminal it has toilets with disabled facilities and a baby care room with access for both parents.
Departures - Airside
Currency: One Bureau de Change, Travelex open from first flight to last flight.
Food and Drink: After passport control is a small range of food and beverage outlets.
Café Europa, and drinks at Blues Bar, Kennedy's Bar, Pier West Bar and Raffles Bar
Information Desk: No desk but blue phones provide a link to the information service.
Pay Phones: Throughout the lounge.
Postal Services: None Airside - mail letters before clearing security and passport control.
Smoking Area: Smoking is allowed in some seated areas of lounges.
Toilets: Two toilet areas, clearly signposted
Shopping: There is a reasonable selection of Duty Free shopping outlets Airside, including:

Arrivals - Airside
Toilets: With baby change and disabled facilities in Baggage Reclaim.
Pay Phones: Located on left of entrance to Baggage Reclaim.
Arrivals - Landside
Airport Parking: There is a link to the Short Stay car park and a bus to Long Stay parking outside the terminal. Car park pay machines and pay desk are near the exit doors.
ATMs: Abbey Link and Lloyds near the Bureau de Change accept most cards.
Bus: services to Manchester city and other destinations leaves from Terminal 1 International Arrivals.
Business Centre: Located on the mezzanine floor between Domestic Arrivals and Departures.
Car Hire: Major companies located opposite terminal under the multi-storey airport car park.
Currency: Travelex Bureau de Change in central area near Information desk, open 05:30 - 20:00.
Food and Drink: one self service restaurant plus a bar.
Information Desk: In main hall. Also blue information telephones opposite the desk. There is a separate tourist information desk, but no hotels booking desk. Nearest is in Terminal 1.
Left Luggage: Silverwings located in main Arrivals concourse. Also handles lost property. Open 06:00 - 22:00. £2 per item up to 12 hours.
Pay Phones: available in public lounge near exits. Free blue phones provided for airport information service.
Postal Services: Mail box opposite Information desk.
Shopping: Silverwings Luggage and W H Smith Books, magazines, newspapers
Smoking Area: Smoking is allowed at Meeting Points and in some seated areas of lounges.
Taxi: taxi rank outside the terminal exit on forecourt.
Toilets: Facilities with disabled and baby care needs are provided in the baggage reclaim area and at the end of the Arrivals lounge.
Train: access to walkway linking Terminal 1 with the Rail Station and Terminal 2. Note - there is no longer a courtesy bus service to the Rail Station or Terminal 2. Allow for a 5-10 minute walk.
