February: Chinese New Year Festivities in Manchester's Chinatown.
March: Manchester Irish Festival on the weekend nearest St Patrick's Day (17th March)
May: Manchester European Market, Albert Square and St Ann's Square
June: Garden of delights, Platt Fields Park, Rusholme
July: Manchester Jazz Festival
November: the Christmas lights are switched on, in a ceremony to rival that of London's Regent Street
November / December: Manchester European and Traditional German Christmas Markets in Albert Square, St Ann's Square and Exchange Street.
